Little Captain

I spent Memorial Day weekend at Catalina Island. The weather was beautiful. We visited with many of our friends who were also moored there for the weekend. I charmed the ladies at Fourth of July Yacht Club on Saturday and at Cherry Cove Yacht Club on Sunday. We met the owners of two Mikelson 61's, just like our new boat, who were also spending the weekend there.

Friday, after a long walk with Bosun to Cat Harbor on the back side of the Island we had lunch at the Harbor Reef Restaurant where I sat up on my own in a highchair.

The folks were nice enough to give me my own quarters. It was a cozy bunk in the side berth made up with a bed rail, crib bumpers and music box, just for me.

I'm eating solid food now and Mom perched me in my stroller on the back deck to enjoy an incredible view during my meal. I didn't want her to stop feeding me for a moment, even if it was to take a photo!

Saturday we hiked along the island from cove to cove with our friends the Giss'. Bosun had a great time running with their dogs Gus and Millie. We hiked out onto a point overlooking Cherry Cove where our boat was moored.

By Sunday we we had really settled into our relaxed mode. I enjoyed our dinghy rides though the coves looking at all the boats and everyone took a long afternoon nap.

Fisher is growing up so fast! He seems naturally fit to your marine life; he'll be cutting his teeth on the railings of your boat! What fun. We sure miss you all.
