Persistence Progress Report

Saturday we spent the day in Ensenada checking on Persistence and discussing the deck repair. The restoration is coming along well. Most of the odor is gone because the headliner, upholstery, carpet and damaged wood have all been removed and the remaining surfaces are being sealed. There is fresh gelcoat in the bilge and anchor locker and fresh paint behind drawers and appliances and in every other nook and crannie. While we were there they were painting above the headliner in the pilothouse. The deck repair is next, then we'll be ready for paneling and carpentry. Our friend Brian Ramage came along so Fisher and I entertained each other in the back seat of the car during our long drive from L.A. to Ensendad in the morning, and back to San Deigo in the afternoon. www.persistenceyacht.blogspot.com
